light’s gate

Tomas Karkalas' photo
disability indicated a dead end but love broke through the walls of me

This photo as if expresses an overview of my life. If one would look at me the picture may look dark . I’m the disabler. Nevertheless, I rejoice over the sun outside because my family cared for me and enabled me to paint.

my life is full of exciting events, I would be happy if they were an example to someone.

Chinese proverbs teach, “Many complain about their appearance, but no one complains of reason,” “Great graces come from heaven, and small ones come from man.”
In support of these thoughts, I say:

  • Lightning strikes only a tall tree. So why do shrubs tremble on the ground?

The question “Are you lost?“ can sound like a lifeline if you wander the forest without knowing the way home. But the same words would sound offensive if you sit comfortably in the armchair. Our gratitude and anger depend on the same words.
We obey clearly defined instructions but do not hear the wisdom.
Therefore people are skeptical of poetry and follow the press closely because they want an objective overview of world events.
What does such objectiveness mean?
Is this okay? That is another question.
Are you lost?

The title put a question what is this? So the viewer wonder where is he ? That‘s why I like the fine arts. What is this?“ always blossoms out at art showrooms.
The close-up always works like magic  – changes everything to the abstraction that captivates with its symbolism. People can only envy such consciousness outside the exhibition.

The everlasting youth just can’t look old despite the fall outside. The picture proves that. The fine arts convince us of everything we just dream about. So let’s create with joy.
